Hey ya'll--Sorry I have been neglecting you! I check out others blogs and get disappointed when they haven't posted but I haven't posted either...hypocrite!

I think we left you right before we were going to Belize....so let me recap our trip for you! We flew into Belize City and then we have to take a "puddle jumper" to the island. Well, Greg got our boarding passes (laminated stickers) while I had to pee for the umteenth time. Then we were on our way. You WALK onto the runway and load onto the plane. This is a VERY tiny plane...it had like 10 seats. We also had 2 stops plus our island. We landed and took off from the smallest (less then 1700 ft.) runway. You are basically an inch off the water when you finally lift off the ground :) Then we land in Ambergris Caye and it's a dirt runway and you have to check out the baggage claim area!
So this is what we did.....Um, sleep, swim, eat, swim, layout, read book and sleep. Greg did some drinking and I had some much needed rest. We did go fishing and snorkeling one day! I bucked up and swam with the rays and sharks--now they weren't great whites, they were only nurse sharks but if anyone knows me they know that I don't even like to swim in the deep end of the pool for fear of sharks....I know, I know, sharks don't live in pools but I think I saw jaws at a really young age and it has made me panic stricken! So needless to say, our pictures from Belize are kinda lame because we didn't do anything...I barely even took a shower! My beach hair was FABULOUS! I did do yoga almost everyday at a yoga retreat on the island called Ak'Bol. If you are at all interested in getting away and doing some yoga on the beach and on the water, this is the place for you. I also had a massage! It was wonderful!

We had first class tickets on the way home! Don't ask, because I don't know how I scored them...we booked with miles and they were the only seats available :) I never want to fly another way. We were stuck on the ground in Charlotte for an extra hour before take off and it was so nice not to be crammed in a seat. Greg also enjoyed the beverages!
Sam didn't even notice we were gone. We got home late and the Kastendike's took off early the next morning so it was almost like we played a dirty trick on him because he was asleep when we left and the Kastendike's weren't here...he just woke up to them and vice versa when we came back!
I unfortunately had to take off to MD the following day because I found out that my aunt April had passed away. It was very sudden and it was a shock for our whole family. It did bring us together to see my cousins (her sons) that I hadn't seen in many years and the newest edition to our family, Mr. Layne David Mayes! He is a cutie. We got together on Saturday as a family to celebrate April's life and the new life ahead of Layne. I also got to spend some quality time with mom and the girls. It was good to be in MD not running around all over the place. We did a lot of chatting and hanging out.
I had to meet Greg that Friday night in Richmond to do the kid swap...Greg had asked "is this what it would be like if we shared custody?" and it kinda freaked me out :) Sam had swim lessons on Saturday morning that we didn't want him to miss and I was staying in MD to visit with my family on Saturday so I dropped him off in Richmond! Swim lessons were great and Sam loved the water! He is a rebel though, he likes jumping off the edge!
Went to the doctors this week for my monthly check up. Everything sounds good with the babes heart and my belly is getting big :)
It was a hot weekend...90+ in Raleigh and our AC decides not to work...thank you thermostat wiring! Needless to say we rectified the situation downstairs on saturday night and ended up camping in the living room b/c it was 87 degrees upstairs! Sunday morning we "fixed" the wiring and ended up with a 65 degree upstairs b/c the ac didn't shut off! So Greg "fixed" it yesterday. We will see!
Greg's big 3-0 is tomorrow and his cocktail party is going to be on Saturday. Can't wait to kick back a little and celebrate with friends and family!
Sam is gigantic (for us) and getting bigger everyday. He has quite a personality and he is not afraid to let you see it! Can't wait til the new baby gets here...then the fun begins!
Hope you enjoyed our update and I hope to have some more posts this week!
