Since this is my blog, I think I can voice my own opinions right? Well if you are on the right, just don't even read this...if you are on the left then can I get an AMEN after this is finished?!
Um...did any of you listen to Sarah Palin? And for that matter Mike Huckabee....what was that desk story all about? Now listen, I am patriotic. I love this country. I love our freedom most of all. And I think that is what it boils down to...freedom. Yes, John McCain was a POW. Yes, he loves his country. But I don't think Barack Obama loves America any less that John McCain.
Our freedom of choice...it has lots of different meanings for me. The obvious, abortion. Maybe not so obvious....so Barack CHOSE to go back into an urban area and be a community organizer and CHOSE not to be a dirty politician. Why do a majority of the republicans have to be so negative and attacking? Good for Obama taking the high road.
And Palin's daughter being knocked up?!?!?! Holy crap....well here it is....proof that abstinence ONLY education does NOT work. Is it just because they are Christian (Gulliani/Palin) it seems ok to cheat on a spouse and have a baby out of wed lock because their sins will be forgiven? Oh, I don't think it is ok to cheat on a spouse and I think you can have a baby out of wedlock...by all means....but don't judge others and then ask not to be judged. Aren't these the same people that condemn gay marriage and gay adoption too? God forbid we the those people raise a family!
Alright, enough. So I guess you know who I am voting for!

I love it! I totally don't agree, of course, but I love that you feel you can speak your mind. :) I mean, I don't agree with a lot of what either party says, and I HATE the attacks on each other.. why do they have to do that? I sat there last night and thought to myself.. heaven FORBID we find out that Palin's husband has ever cheated on her. I could go on and on about the abortion issue (I think that the choice is made when you decide to have sex without some sort of protection). I have never understood the abstinence only thing... why are they only teaching abstinence... they have to know that kids are gonna have sex... Lord knows the parents (who SHOULD be teaching this stuff) aren't going to be doing it. I don't think that just because I feel a certain way, everyone should feel that way, it's their choice, but let's be realistic.... and give the kids some condoms. I agree that while Obama has "taken the high road" his camp hasn't. My brother is all about Obama, but I still can't bring myself to vote for someone with his stance on abortion... not when there are other options out there (namely, adoption).
Anywho.. love the soapbox.. you don't know how many posts I've started and then didn't post because I felt like I was at the pulpit! :) When the hormones were raging.. it was easier... :)
Did I miss Sam's birthday? I remember meeting you guys around the time that Ben had his surgery, but I thought that was in August. I don't know about you, but I had a mother of a time dealing with the boys "birthday".. crap day that it was.

Ouch Chris....make sure you read up on the tax policies of the Obama Camp before you decide to vote on one wo nebulous issues such as gay mariage and abrtion alone. It could have major impact on your family in a future life...things like an increased death tax/estate tax (the very definition of double taxation in this land), increased corporate tax (this hurts the very small business you and friends are trying to grow today), increased personal tax rates to middle and high income earners, and an increased capital gains tax. All of these hurt productivity. See this link on supply-side economics and listen to Larry Kudlow nightly on CNBC to get a different perspective - Kudlow and Company is the show.

Negative and attacking....just watch CNN for a weekend, read the NY Times and then watch Fox news and CNBC to compare....It may offer a different perspective....
